Like how I have mentioned in my tweet that I haven’t got a good feeling about the new semester even though it is supposedly less hectic, I’m praying that by His grace I’ll pull through the next few months again, with Him, victoriously.

Sometimes, I wish we were not as reticent, that we could openly banter or even gibber about life, our lives, that is. At other times, I thank God for that innate trait of yours. I am counting my blessings for the times you serenaded love songs to me with your lips clasped.

For getting the fused bulbs changed before I’m home, and washing up the dishes after me at odd hours.

Thanks, Dad.
Even though you will not be reading this. You showed me what love is in a different dimension.

It is the age or period where you start to get comfortable, satisfied, or rather familiar with many things in church and life, in a way that exploring or conquering new territories no longer matter as much. Thereafter whatever happens, whether is it a climb or a decline – it stems from our own convictions and relationship with God.

Glad to be “Revisiting Our Values” at GC!

My over dependency on twitter has caused me to disappear from this blogosphere. Even though many significant events had taken place in my life, both physically and spiritually, I am finding it more demanding to translate them into words, much less paragraph them all thanks to the comforts of technology. Nonetheless, I reckon the least I can do is to thank God once again for His sustenance over the past few weeks!

You know what? My brain is currently like a disorganised desktop. I can’t seem to locate the folder where I stored the files for this post. Still, I will churn a proper post to the best of my ability!

Life had never been more deranged juggling the different aspects – friends, family, personal life, ministry, CCA and studies, etc. God had stretched me much in every aspect. Nonetheless, The toughest of which is not really in the tangible aspects of managing, but rather, dealing with the sporadic disappointments you face in the midst of striking a good balance, and not to forget, helping others overcome them as well.

The first half of the Semester had been smooth-sailing despite the bruits about it being extremely nasty. I did pretty okay for most of my tests and assignments. The second half of the Semester was a tad callous and heartless cos it deprived me of my beauty sleep! Sleeping at 3, 4am everyday and waking up as early as 6am is no joke. The worst that can happen, happens. There were times we found our work rejected or criticisms thrown directly in our faces and we go completely disillusioned thereafter. Anything that can go wrong will go wrong. The most recent disaster would be turning up late for a major presentation. Our morale went all the way down below sea level.

It was through these bungles that I learnt that even there are mistakes to make, and (many, many, many valuable) lessons to learn. I think I have learnt to be more people-oriented, or maybe I had always been but it is latent. One of the greatest lesson which I have learnt thus far in MCM is that we don’t have to be the best, but we just have to do our best and that is all that really matters. I recognise that everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. And that is why I am beginning to appreciate people for their efforts more than the quality of work that they produce. It’s just… Nice?

I don’t know if you guys will read this but Ben, Geel, Nanz and Redz, we have come a long way! Decades down the road, one of the memory that would be greatly etched at the back of my brain would be us printing, cutting and mounting our designs outside Bukit Timah Plaza in our formal suits at 1pm when our presentation was at 1pm. I remembered VJ subtly mentioned that in MCM, it is either a love or hate relationship. I would gladly choose the former at all times!

Our group name quite cheesy, eh. Next Semester, (if we still have the chance to work together) we change!

Oh on hind sight, can I please affirm myself? I think I have grown in the area of speech - Less sarcasm, more encouragements! There’s still billions of room for growth, nevertheless!

Before I end, here are some people whom I am treasuring and thanking God for, more and more in my life!

Even though we are the most LKK team around, I secretly like how sometimes we are so shy to express our innermost “affections” to each other and how we only bring ourselves to do it behind our screens. I think we have progressed much right from where and how we first started out and I am so proud of us! Today’s outing was sweet. I cannot wait for our next!

WE DON’T HAVE A NAME! Sexy is the closest I can think of, HAHA.

Sometimes I feel like I am the most fail leader on earth cos you guys have so much in you which I have no idea why I am unable or taking such a long time to bring out! I secretly think all of you have potential to be ANTM even though on the facade I get turned off when Jing Wen thinks that she has model legs, when Wei Jang thinks he can be a bodybuilder and when Keith thinks that he is super handsome. More importantly, I think our team has bonded much and I am superbly amazed by the initiatives and ownership that you are taking to grow Central D! Thank you for supporting me in every way that you can, faithfully sending me stats every week and leading your people despite it being your O level year. Remember the note I passed around during Youth CLM? “Don’t trust me 100%, must question me, ok!” I meant it! If you see anything wrong in my life, tell me ah!

There are more people in my life that I want to thank God for but it’s already 4.41am and I am expecting a long day tomorrow.
