A Work In Progress
Ang Sin Yee was born in Singapore into a religious family on the 24th September 1990 after an approximate 9 months of struggle in a dark and wet place which seems non-existent in this world. She weighed a scary numeric of 4040 grams and was known to be one of Singapore General Hospital’s big baby. Can you beat that?
She decided that you be spared the details of her dramatically traumatic childhood because all she could remember was that she often had to undergo strict discipline because she never seem to be able to control her tongue and (the rolling of) her eyes.
Having grown up in a missionary school, Fairfield Methodist and being exposed to daily devotions, she was often intrigued by what Christianity was all about and who Jesus was. She had always been interested in Christianity but no one really guided her towards it.
On one very fateful day sometime in May 2003, when she was about to catch a bus back home from school, an over-friendly girl donned in White and Green, called Angela, approached the innocent adolescent whom was at the cusp of her teenage years. Being a young impressionable teen, she was slightly taken aback by the stranger’s overstimulated behaviour. Nonetheless she decided to render some help to the damsel in distress since she really looked exhausted after much rejections. It was just a survey, anyway.
She was then introduced to a Youth Organisation called, Yhope, the youth congregation of Hope Church Singapore. After a few rejections, she finally appeared for the supposedly youth event which took place on 28th June 2003. When she entered the auditorium, it was then she realised that she was conned – but it was a good prank anyway because – she was finally able to know more about Jesus! On the very same day, she received Jesus into her life as Lord and Saviour.
Well, the story did not end here!
On the 11th March 2007, she made a decision to end her carnal self in a swimming pool at YMCA. By God’s grace, she was born again and was renamed, Xanthe.
