You’re listening to Freestyle

May 29, 2009

My first try hosting at Radioheatwave.com was an escapade even though I made two mega boo-boos, i.e. grabbing the mic halfway into TOTH and spewing nonsense when the mic was not yet turned off.  There were probably more but I’m extremely thankful for the crew who were extremely encouraging. Not forgetting my co-host, Justine – she was awesome too!

Many hugs and kisses also to my dear friends who were at the Atrium, frantically calling in and trying their luck to win David Cook’s CD. Good try, Redzuan, Ben & Han Na – try again next year! David Cook doesn’t like to sing, he likes to cook. We have plenty of Al-Ameen discount vouchers to give away as well so don’t miss out!

I shall not delve too much into the details but if you are interested, Justine and I will be on air Thursdays, 5pm to 6pm so stay tuned!

Still, I

May 27, 2009

On Monday, I missed Netball lesson because the bed monster refused to let go of my hands despite my raging pleas. Today, history repeated itself. In all seriousness, I hope this bad habit will not regurgitate itself any longer after today. Period.

I am beginning to feel the tension of being an MCM student taking 7 modules (excluding French) in Sem 1.1 – it is crazy. Everytime I turn my eyes to the right hand corner of my Mac, the hour hand seem to jump faster than the second hand. Projects are apparently our primary source of social network apart from the weekly assignments and I am not kidding. It is like we have almost been enslaved to them. Randomly pick any fellow comrades of mine and they will very much tell you the same thing, probably just in a different (or coarser) manner.

Even in the midst of my preparation in meeting 3 project deadlines, being clueless about the new project tasks which have just been delegated freely to us, and sitting for 2 tests which will all be due in two weeks time, I want to be still… Even when my hair is unkempt and my emotions threadbare.

What powerful lungs she must have possessed in order to produce such high amplitude sounds waves which are able to permeate three bulky pillars and divide souls.

A Toast To You

May 19, 2009

Thank God all three assignments and group projects that were due this Friday had already been done or else I would be in deep merde.

Here’s a quick and big toast to my awesome Locvdp & Marcom project mates, Michelle, Han Na, Ben, Gillian, Nanthini & Redzuan – I have no idea how to thank you but just know that you guys are awesome, la okay.

Oh, not forgetting my CATS group, Ke Jie, Farhan & Yupin, you guys were awesome, too!

On a major note, I will be flying across the seas to Kuching tomorrow night on an AK6674 and will be chauffeured back on an AK6673 on the 22nd.

Take good care of yourselves my dearest friends and sheep!

See you when I see you!
