Ever had peers whom you deem as your alter ago, strut confident poses in front of, and when this friendship undergoes the test of time and distance, it grew aloof, you chanced upon negative statements which makes you dubious and worry whether or not you are the subject of the topic. You are unsure if the other party carries the same torch, but you hesitate to ask because you fret the reply might disappoint.
Friendships are easy to form, but hard to maintain; how much more will true friendships cost? I wish time could be more magnanimous so I could forge better bonds with whoever that has stepped into my life. Due to these constraints, I guess the only way to keep it going is assurance and security. It wouldn’t kill to let your friends know occassionally that you are still closely kept in their hearts despite all that has been happening. A simple “how are you”, who knows, could make their day.
